Italian architect Andrea Palladio reinvented architecture in the late 16th century and his influence has remained strong for centuries. During four nights in the Veneto explore Vicenza, which can be seen as a textbook for his architecture, including the Teatro Olimpico and the many palaces he designed for noble families. Tour La Rotonda and the Villa Maser, with its Veronese frescoes, and enjoy private visits to Villa Cornaro and Villa Godi Malinverni. Then board the famed Orient Express train in Verona for an overnight journey to London. Your three-night stay features Palladian-inspired sites such as Chiswick House, designed by Lord Burlington, who revived Palladianism in 19th-century England.
