Discover Turkey's bustling cities, dramatic landscapes, and sun-drenched coastline on this 16-day journey. In Ankara, meet with experts on modern Turkey and view the antiquities at the Museum of Anatolian Civilizations, and in Cappadocia, marvel at surreal tufa formations and undergrount cities. Cross sweeping high steppes to fabled Konya, then wander through the resort city of Antalya, strikingly set between mountains and the sea. Discover Alexander the Great's Perge and the Roman stronghold of Aspendos; then board gulets, small local sailing ships, to cruise turquoise waters between Demre, Kekova Island, Kas, and Fethiye, and enjoy snorkeling amidst ancient ruins. Then fly to magical Istanbul, home to the domed Hagia Sofia, Topkapi Palace, and the famous Blue Mosque.
