Paris, Provence, the French Riviera - all are names that evoke images of beauty, history, wine, and cuisine. These images come to life on a journey through France from glittering Paris to romantic Nice. After two nights in Paris, drive through the Burgundy wine region to Chalon-sur-Saône and embark on the brand new Avalon Scenery for a seven-night cruise along the Saône and Rhône rivers. Learn about the area's rich history and the famous Beaujolais wine of the region in Macôn and Tournus. Visit Lyon, the country's gastronomic capital whose Old Town is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Then explore ancient Roman and medieval history in Avignon and Viviers. Disembark in Arles for a drive through the Côte d'Azur countryside and a final overnight stay in lively Nice.
