Accompanied by expert lecturers and guides, begin in Cairo, staying at the historic Mena House Oberoi overlooking the Great Pyramids. See up-close the "paws of the Sphinx," discover nearby Dashur and Saqqara, then fly to Luxor and embark on Sun Boat III to cruise to Abydos, Esna Edfu. Investigate the Valley of the Kings, including specially opened tombs, and visit the Aswan High Dam. Take a short flight to Ramses II's temple at Abu Simbel before returning to Cairo to explore the Islamic and Coptic quarters, and the Museum of Antiquities.
