History comes alive for the whole family on a voyage of discovery in the Mediterranean. The itinerary will awaken young minds to the wonders of classical antiquity in Athens and the legendary Greek Islands and Turkey. Explore ancient and modern Athens before setting sail for fabled Troy and Ephesus, where children and adults alike will be awed by the ruins. Your family's adventure includes a journey to the fortified town of Rhodes; Santorini, with its legacy of volcanic eruptions; and Crete's Minoan Palace of Knossos. You'll also visit Olympia, one of the first homes of the Panhellenic games. Youth counselors lead the Young Explorers Program, a series of educational and recreational activities developed to enhance children's appreciation of the sites, while adults enjoy a series of faculty lectures.
