During the winter holidays share a sea adventure with children and grandchildren in the remarkable Galápagos Islands. Your "floating classroom" for this voyage is the Galápagos Explorer II, an ideal expedition ship that combines comfortable cruising with several recreational options. Aboard ship you'll find a superb staff of resident naturalists specially trained to work with children as well as adults. Here, among the spectacular geology of these volcanic islands, you will see the Giant Galápagos tortoises, flocks of frigate birds and blue-footed boobies, Darwin's finches and Galápagos penguins, colonies of marine iguanas and sea lions, along with other fascinating sea life. Each day offers several face-to-face encounters with animals and birds - few places on earth afford such close access to wildlife. Your journey includes a tour of Ecuador's largest city, Guayaquil, and its lovely riverfront promenade.
