The Class of 1964 Summer Fellowship supports summer travel and fieldwork by Yale juniors and seniors who have an interest in the environment. The Class of 1964 Summer Fellowship Committee is co-chaired by Frank Basler and Mike Price.

Following in the footsteps of our previous fellows (2006, 2005, and 2004), four Summer Fellows for 2007 were named:

• Natalie Alegre, Environmental Studies, Saybrook, 2008, traveled to south-central Peru to study the effectiveness of four development projects.
• Eric Bloom, Architecture, Morse College, 2008, plans to be an architect, and traveled to Montreal to work on graphic mapping showing effects of industry and climate change on different areas of North America.
• Angel Hertslet, Environmental Studies, Timothy Dwight, 2008, worked in Honduras' Cusuco National Park doing taxonomic studies and monitoring the Park's biodiversity.
• Karin Lee, Political Science and International Studies, Ezra Stiles, 2000, went to Montreal to work with the United Nations Environment Program as a BioDiversity Project intern.
