1972 - 45th Reunion (June 1-4, 2017)

Dear Classmates and Friends,

Since some of us look in the mirror and see a 35-year-old, it may be hard to believe that the Class of 1972’s 45th reunion is just around the corner. But the good news is that our reunions are always a great time. So, join us June 1 - 4, 2017, at Pierson College.

If you’ve ever attended one of our class reunions, you know how rewarding and how much fun it can be to see old friends, make new ones, learn about the current state of our alma mater, and enjoy Yale’s incredible facilities and resources. If you’ve never attended a class reunion, now’s the time to do it - before there aren’t enough of us left to hold one. (Actually, you’ll discover that our class is very vital - and that reassuring discovery may be reason enough to attend.)

The enclosed materials provide information about the reunion. At this point, we ask you to do just three things:

  1. Reserve June 1 - 4, 2017 on your calendar.
  2. Let us know you are coming by going to www.aya.yale.edu/reunions (click on our class and then on “Pre-Register Now!).
  3. Decide whether you want to stay on campus or a hotel. If you prefer the amenities of a hotel, please note that the New Haven hotel blocks are all currently full; but rooms will open up in the spring. However, there are many other local hotels options in  greater New Haven, for a list visit http://visitorcenter.yale.edu/lodging. Classmates and guests who wish to stay on campus, either in Pierson College or Baker Hall (formerly New Residence Hall) may make these reservations as part of the reunion registration in the spring.

We’re hard at work putting together a program that will be enlightening entertaining - and leave you plenty of free time to renew friendships or meet new people. Some of you attended our first-ever cluster reunion last year with the classes of 1971 and 1973. The excitement at that reunion was palpable and proved that there’s no better way to pass a few days than spending it with fellow Yalies. We truly are a fascinating lot. Also, for those of you who haven’t been to New Haven in recent years, we think you’ll be amazed by some of the changes it has seen. Meanwhile, the Yale campus has been transformed by the addition of two new residential colleges, which will be on the verge of opening when we convene.

So, come back to Yale and re-connect with your classmates. We look forward to seeing you in New Haven!

Best Wishes,
