Class of 1952 - 65th Reunion (May 25-28, 2017)

65th Reunion – May 25 – 28, 2017

Classmates and Friends:

This is our Last Hurrah.

Our 65th reunion will be held from Thursday, May 25 to Sunday, May 28.  (Note: Monday, May 29 is Memorial Day).

Yes, we graduated 65 years ago and are still here.  All things considered, we are reasonably hale and hearty, displaying residual vim and vigor.

65 years before our graduation, Yale’s 15th President, Charles Seymour was born; the Statue of Liberty arrived in New York; the Washington Monument was erected; AT&T was created; and Grover Cleveland became President of the United States (his first time).

Now, 65 years since we graduated, we are invited and urged to return to our Alma Mater for a final time as a class. It promises to be a memorable event.  All wives of our deceased classmates will be invited to attend as our complimentary guests. There will also be financial assistance available for classmates and their guests.

Our headquarters is Jonathan Edwards College in the heart of the campus with old and new friends, great drinks, amazing victuals prepared by award-winning chefs, a most convivial atmosphere, noted Yale Faculty lecturers, and also a tour of the recently re-opened Yale Center for British Art.

While the downtown reunion hotel blocks are already full, there are a number of hotels outside of downtown New Haven which can accommodate you. For more information, please go to There will be free parking at Pierson-Sage Garage on Whitney Ave., behind the Peabody Museum, with shuttle service to Jonathan Edwards and other points on campus.

There will also be on campus housing available in both Jonathan Edwards College and Baker Hall. Baker Hall (formerly New Residence Hall or “Swing Space”) is located in Tower Parkway near Payne Whitney Gym and offers alumni a campus housing option with air conditioning, elevators, as well as in-suite bathrooms. If you are interested in this on-campus housing option, you can register when you receive the reunion registration package in late winter.

By now most – if not all – of you will have been contacted by your College Reunion Attendance Chairman to ascertain your plans for attending the reunion. The preliminary results are very encouraging for what we optimistically expect to be a record attendance for a 65th reunion.

Please indicate your intentions to attend by clicking on the "Pre-Register Now!" link at the left. Information about reunion registration, on-campus housing (if desired), special needs and details of our Reunion Program will be mailed out in March.

Be sure Yale has your most up to date mailing address phone, email, etc. If you would like to update any of your personal information you may contact Yale Alumni records at

Please mark your 2017 calendar appropriately, stay well, and we look forward to seeing you in May!
