-- attend a conference, featuring alumni as panelists, focused on the influence of economics developed at Yale on the profession, the economy, or both

-- tour the new 136-acre West Campus, straddling the towns of Orange and West Haven, to see the array of facilities already in use for medical and scientific research at Yale, and for conservation of art and other collections

-- hear Robert Shiller speak on “The Yale Tradition in Macroeconomics”

-- enjoy special tours in the Yale Art Gallery, and a bus tour highlighting new construction and renovations on central campus

Early in the first hour, Carolyn Slayman (Sterling Professor of Genetics, Deputy Dean at the School of Medicine, and Professor of Physiology) will welcome alumni and give an update on recent changes at the Medical School.  Afterwards, informal tours of selected labs and newly-restored research facilities will be led by students and faculty.  Refreshments will be available throughout.
