The Yale Club of Southwestern Virginia is honored to welcome Dr. Miroslav Volf as its guest speaker at a free lecture on Sunday afternoon, March 4, 2012, at 3:00 p.m. Dr. Volf, the Henry B. Wright Professor of Theology at the Yale University Divinity School, will speak informally about his work. Light refreshments will be served.

Dr. Volf is the founding director of the Yale Center for Faith and Culture, and is widely known for his work on systematic theology, ethics, conflict resolution, peace-making, and workplace spirituality. He has an undergraduate degree from the Evangelical Theological Faculty in Zagreb, Croatia, an M.A. from Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, California, and a PhD in theology from the University of Tubingen in Germany. He will be in Roanoke as a guest of the Second Presbyterian Church to speak in the church’s annual Edmunds Lecture Series.
