The Yale International Alliance is expanding its Global Ambassador Program. We're seeking dedicated Yale alumni to represent regions around the world.
YIA Ambassador Role & Responsibilities
YIA Ambassadors support YIA’s mission — “Working toward a Better World for All”— by advancing leadership, service, and dialogue on the world’s most pressing challenges.
Time commitment: Approximately 1 - 3 hours a month which includes:
- Attend one Board meeting per year (these are held monthly 1-hour virtual)
- Attend an annual retreat (virtual or in-person) if possible
- Support one focus area: (a) Programming (leading an activity in your time zone or region) or (b) Communications/Technology
- There is no term for YIA Ambassador. This will be reviewed in 2026.
The application takes approximately 20 minutes to complete. Key upcoming dates are:
- January 15, 2026: Application deadline
- January 22, 2026: Special meeting with the Board
- January 29, 2026: Board Elections
- February 4, 2026 (9 - 10 am New York time. Virtual.):New Board and Ambassadors invited to attend Board Meeting which is held first Thursday of month
