Yale Alumni College

Info Accordions

Yale Alumni College is a regionally-based educational program open to all Yale alumni and their families and friends. This program provides lifelong learning opportunities through local courses taught by Yale faculty or other alumni with expertise in the subject, held over a period of 6-8 weeks.

Most courses are seminar style, giving participants a chance to experience again the vigor of a Yale classroom and the wisdom of 20 or so fellow scholars.

Cities hosting Yale Alumni College courses currently include New Haven; New York; Atlanta; Washington D.C.; Chicago; Princeton, N.J.; and San Diego, with the potential for more cities to be opened in the future.

Courses are held in spring and fall semesters, usually six weeks long; Some cities have summer offerings.

The average cost for a course is $400. There are Bulldogs Of the Last Decade (e.g. recent graduates, less than 10 years out) discounts available.

Most Yale Alumni College courses are capped at 25 to ensure interaction among students and the professor.

We are looking for qualified alumni volunteer champions to represent the program in new cities. Please email us for more info.
