Biography

Sterling Evans Thomas is Director of Investor Relations for NCH Capital, a New York City-based $3-billion private equity firm and hedge fund. In this role, she leads relationships with current and prospective investors, including university endowments, private and public endowments, and large family offices. She is a passionate Yale alumna, serving as Co-Chair of Reunion Giving for her fifth- and tenth-year reunions, as a Class Agent, and as a YAA At-Large Delegate.

Evans Thomas is also a Co-Head of YaleWomenNYC, for which she, together with her Co-Heads, makes all executive decisions and generates and implements programming for the group’s more than 5,500 members. Recently, she produced a panel held at the Wall Street Journal headquarters in which senior industry leaders weighed in on the evolving state of media. She strives to make Yale a community for life by creating opportunities for all alumni to contribute to and benefit from Yale, with a special focus on those who are juggling young families and often careers.

At Yale, Evans Thomas majored in History and was a four-year member of the Varsity Track and Field Team, competing in the 400-meter hurdles. She lives in Westchester, New York with her husband (also a Yalie) and their young children. Believing that Yale is a special place, she is excited to continue her service as a member of the YAA Board of Governors.
