Class of 1956 65th Reunion - Program & Schedule

Join the Lillian Goldman Law Library staff for a guided tour of the “Constance Baker Motley: Lady of the Law” exhibit. Drawing on images and personal items from the collection of her family, and from her own words in her autobiography, the exhibition offers a glimpse of Motley, brilliantly at work, from her childhood in New Haven through her career as a Civil Rights attorney, New York Senator, and federal judge. Meet at the front entrance to the Law School. This tour is limited to 25 people.

Jay Gitlin, ’71, ’74 MusM, ’02 PhD, Lecturer in History; Associate Director, Howard R. Lamar Center for the Study of Frontiers & Borders

Professor Gitlin will give a brief description of his popular seminar, "Yale and America," and will then be joined by students making short talks based on their research.

Enjoy delicious soups, sandwiches, and salads in the JE courtyard. Don't forget to leave room for dessert with organic coffee and assorted teas.  

Class of ’56 activities begin at the Yale University Art Gallery, one block from JE at 1111 Chapel Street (at York Street). Classmate Board members Elliott Schlang and Bob Shapiro, have arranged for special guided tours with Gallery director, Stephanie Wiles.

Enjoy dinner with World Flavors buffet stations including: Mediterranean, Far East Asian, South Asian, and a variety of sides and sweets. 

Stay with us for a nightcap and conversation. The bar this evening closes at 11 pm.

Start the day with Yale signature bagel breakfast featuring an assortment of "Bruegger's" bagels, fresh sliced tomato and cucumber, hummus, smoked salmon plater, sliced fruit platter, fair trade coffee, an assortment of teas, and fruit juices. Seating will also be available in the Dining Hall.
