Welcome to the registration page for our 60th Reunion, June 9–12, 2022! It’s all online so put your writing equipment down. Please be sure to read the section on COVID policies on this webpage, and then click Register Now to sign up for our reunion and campus housing.
We are extremely fortunate in the outstanding work being accomplished by our splendid reunion team: Chair Dan Koenigsberg, Tappy Wilder and Phil Moriarty. By now all of you have listened to Tappy’s promo on our class web site: yale62.org, and if not, I recommend it. He brilliantly articulates the raison d’être behind all the planning – an opportunity to connect and reconnect – to yack with friends, to be stimulated by the panels and roundtables.
Our reunion begins Thursday, June 9th. Once on campus, you may go directly to our reunion’s residential college, Timothy Dwight, to check in and receive your registration and housing materials. The Class of 1962 60th Reunion can skip the YAA’s Central Registration at the St. Thomas More Golden Center and proceed directly to TD.
The Program & Schedule tab on this webpage gives you a full calendar of Class of '62 events and Morning at Yale lectures, and all-class events throughout the reunion weekend. Class events are scheduled in the afternoons, Yale lectures and tours are in the mornings, and entertainment on Saturday evening. Class programming highlights include Pulitzer Prize-winner History Professor David Blight, and the renamed School of the Environment Professor Mathew Kottchen, who will acquaint us with, as Tappy puts it, “The Yale We Never Knew. There will be a roundtable on Asia and Cultural Affairs led by Kent Hughes, David Scharff and Fred Starr, and another gathering, focused on those of us still working in our 80s led by Sam Waterston. During the entire weekend there will be “authors’ tables”, for classmates to acquaint us with their work.
Anyone needing financial assistance may contact Cristina Hall before registering for a confidential conversation. She will then give you a code to use when you register.
Recently, after an absence of many decades, when I walked into TD to check out a rehearsal space for the Whiffs, I was overwhelmed not so much with memories as with feelings, good ones, like those of previous reunions. We are a brilliant and diverse group, with wonderful stories to tell each other. As E. M. Forster wrote: “Only connect!
