1987 | The Great Pizza Debate
Jun 4
1:30PM – 2:30PM
Pierson College | Room: Courtyard — 236 York St.
Throughout the world, New Haven is known for one thing that represents the culmination of civilization as we know it …
No, not Yale University. We're talking New Haven Apizza. Not Chicago deep dish, not Detroit Style, not even wood fired artisan something or other with goat cheese and dare I say, pineapples, on top.
New Haven’s Original Coal Fired Neapolitan Apizza. Thin, charred crust with sauce so tasty sometimes it doesn’t even need cheese. And don’t forget the legendary white clam pie.
We’re going to put politics, religion and Will Smith aside and debate what’s really important- Who makes the best damn pizza in New Haven.
Moderator: Jon Krevolin
Panelist: Karen Yarasavage, Tim Harkness, Lisa Vigliotti Harkness, Tom Mercein, Darcy Pollack, and Iffie Okoronkwo
