In 1968 Kingman Brewster asked Elga Wasserman, Assistant Dean of the Yale Graduate School, to become the “Special assistant to the President on the Education of Women and Chairman of the Committee on Coeducation” and to take whatever steps were needed to make Yale “a good place for women”. In 1973 Elga entered Yale Law School, graduating in 1976 and practicing law for the next 20 years.

Dr. Katz, whose practice integrates nutrition, exercise, vitamins and supplements with conventional medical practices, returns to the Yale Club with a new presentation on the factors that can reduce the risk of heart disease. The same practices that can reduce the risk of coronary atherosclerosis can also reduce the risk of other diseases such as diabetes, stroke, and cancer. Dr. Katz will discuss how best to approach diet, exercise, medications, supplements, and hormonal changes so one can feel and act younger longer.
