On May 12, the Yale Alumni Nonprofit Alliance (YANA) is hosting its annual gala to celebrate and honor the theme of Generation to Generation  how Yale’s legacy of giving back and changing lives is conveyed from one generation to the next. Five distinguished alums will be honored for their personal commitment to advancing positive social change while inspiring lives of impact in succeeding generations. This virtual gala is open to all. 

Honorees: 

  • Marian Wright Edelman ’63 LLB, founder of the Children’s Defense Fund  
  • Jonah Edelman ’92, founder of Stand for Children
  • Tim McChristian ’77, executive director of the Madison Square Boys & Girls Club 
  • Andrea McChristian ’08, law & policy director of the New Jersey Institute for Social Justice 
  • Fred Krupp ’75, president of the Environmental Defense Fund 

Special Appearance: Hillary Rodham Clinton '73 JD, former secretary of state
