      Meet up with YaleWomen DC in Old Town Alexandria for a walk along the Mount Vernon Trail to Belle Haven Park.

      Itinerary: The walk is five miles round-trip and mostly flat. We'll meet in Old Town Alexandria and walk along the Mount Vernon Trail to Belle Haven Park, which is on the Potomac River. Bring your own snack or lunch because there are picnic tables there. Then we'll walk back. On the way, we'll see some of Alexandria's most picturesque streets.

      Date and time: Sunday, Sept. 27 at 11:30 a.m.

      Meeting place: Alexandria Visitor Center, 221 King Street (outdoor courtyard).

      For those taking Metro, it's the King Street station on the Yellow and Blue lines. Transfer to the free King Street Trolley, which leaves the station every 15 minutes, and take it to its last stop. The last stop is a short block to the visitor center. There is a public restroom in the visitor center. For those driving, street parking is free on Sundays.
