The YAA is excited to partner with Badge, a mobile wallet platform co-founded by a Yale alum, to offer alumni a digital card. As part of our pilot program, we will offer Yale College alumni in the classes of 2026-1980 access to the card. If the pilot goes well, we plan to roll out the card to more alumni!

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How do I download the digital card? If you are a member of the Yale College class of 2026-1980, you should have received an email with personalized directions (from help@trybadge.com) on how to download the card to your Apple or Google wallet. If you did not receive it, please contact yaawebtech@yale.edu.

What does the card DO? The card is an easy reference for ways to stay engaged with the Yale alumni community. You can also opt to receive push notifications about news and events. Think of the card as an alternative communication channel, outside of email.

What does the card NOT do?

  • The card does not offer discounts or serve as event credentials; each event handles them individually.
  • It is not a credit card.
  • It does not offer library privileges. (Yale does offer some access to library resources and other benefits, which you can read more about here!)
  • During the pilot phase, the YAA is exploring the best way to use the card and appreciates any feedback or suggestions.

Do I have to download the card? No, using the card is completely optional and only offered to enhance the alumni experience.

A piece of information on my card is incorrect. Who do I contact to get it fixed? Please email yaawbetech@yale.edu with any updates to your information.
