With the fall semester now in full swing, Yale’s newest students are settling into life on campus—but for some, their Yale journey began before arriving in New Haven. Over the summer, Yale Regional Clubs around the world welcomed incoming first-year students with festive local Summer Send-Offs. Be sure to click the arrow above to scroll through and see highlights from some of the summer send-offs.

From coast to coast, celebrations ranged from a scenic (even if slightly soggy) pavilion party hosted by the Yale Club of Delaware to a lively celebration at Sol y Luna with the Yale Club of Alabama, and a cheerful gathering at Laurelhurst Park with the Yale Club of Oregon and Southwest Washington.

These send-offs are more than just celebrations; they’re a heartfelt welcome into the Yale community. They offer students a first glimpse of the support and camaraderie that extends far beyond New Haven and continues throughout their time at Yale and after.

With over 160 clubs spanning nearly every corner of the globe, Yale Regional Clubs offer alumni, parents, students, widows/ers, and surviving spouses a lifelong gateway to learning, service, and community.
