Biography
Over the past three years Anne Toker has been a board member for the Yale Graduate School Alumni Association Board (GSAA), with the particular privilege this year of serving as co-chair of its signature event, “Where Do I Go from Yale?” A diverse group of Yale graduate school alumni conducted a series of panel discussions to inspire and engage current graduate students, sharing stories about their fascinating lives and varied careers. She was thrilled to be part of this event, and to be able to help current students at a place that has done so much for her.
As an undergraduate at Yale, Toker served as a reporter for and news editor of the Yale Daily News, which gave her a chance to be deeply involved in all aspects of the undergraduate community. Love for Yale brought her back some years later as a graduate student in the MB&B Department, where she obtained her PhD. The education she received at Yale has been critical for her subsequent career as a patent lawyer.
Toker practices patent litigation in New York City as a partner at the law firm of Quinn Emanuel, where she focuses on biotech and pharmaceutical patent litigation. She is grateful to have the chance to continue working for Yale students and the entire Yale community as a member of the YAA Board of Governors.
