Biography
Eleanor Burgess’s play “The Niceties” has been produced at venues across America, including Manhattan Theatre Club, Geffen Playhouse, McCarter Theatre Center, and the Huntington Theatre Company. Her other plays, including “Wife of a Salesman,” “Sparks Fly Upward,” “Start Down,” and “Galilee 34,” have been produced or developed at Playwrights Horizons, The New Group, Ensemble Studio Theatre, Writers Theatre, Milwaukee Repertory Theatre, the Alliance Theatre, and Merrimack Rep. She has also written for film and television including working for HBO, Apple TV, AMC, and Bad Robot. Originally from Brookline, Massachusetts, she studied history at Yale College and Dramatic Writing at NYU/Tisch.
