Kevin Winston is founder and CEO of Digital LA, the largest digital professional organization in Los Angeles, which organizes weekly events connecting leaders in the LA tech, startup, and entertainment communities. He is also founder of the Silicon Beach Fest startup conference, recognized by the Mayor of Los Angeles for its outstanding contributions to the LA tech community. He was listed in the inaugural Los Angeles Business Journal's “500 Most Influential People in Los Angeles," where, he was honored and amused to discover, he is listed between Oprah Winfrey and Reese Witherspoon.
Winston has helped spearhead the Boards digital strategy connecting alumni worldwide by co-founding more than a dozen alumni Facebook groups, starting with the Yale Alumni Facebook Group, growing rapidly from 0 to more than 20,000 members. As co-founder and President of the Yale in Hollywood shared interest group for the past 18 years, he has helped organize more than 200 events to connect alumni in entertainment, including three conferences of more than 350 attendees each. He launched the Accelerate Yale - Los Angeles chapter for entrepreneurial alumni. He has been a speaker at alumni leadership conferences worldwide from the Yale Assembly and Convocation at Yale, to conferences in San Francisco, Paris, Berlin and Dubai. He is past President of the Yale Club of Los Angeles.
In his past experience working at McKinsey & Company, Fox Interactive Media, and Sony Pictures Digital Entertainment, Winston has created and implemented numerous award-wining digital strategy and marketing campaigns. He has spoken at leading industry tech entertainment conferences including SXSW, CES, San Diego Comic-Con, Cannes Film Fest, Mobile World Congress, Social Media Week LA, and NATPE. He is also a co-founder of Ivy Entertainment, which organizes events for Ivy League alumni in entertainment. As a member of the Television Academy, he is an Emmy voter. He has been listed in Forbes as one of "Twelve Entrepreneurs Who Are Changing LA Forever."
