As principal of the Greenly Group LLC, Achieving LeadershipTM, and the Corporate Physician Leadership Center, Rob Greenly provides executive coaching, leadership development, team facilitation, and training to physicians, scientists, engineers, academics, and other highly successful functional experts. His work experience includes being director of leadership at the MIT Sloan School of Management, director of Organization Development and Training at Astra Pharmaceuticals, vice-president of Leadership and Organization Development at Boston Scientific, and chief administrative officer for Human Resources at Putnam Investments.
In his volunteer capacity at Yale, Greenly served as president of YaleBoston from 2013 to 2015 (the first and only Harvard College alum to hold that role!). He was chair of the Yale School of Management Alumni Association (SOMAA) of Boston for several years. He previously served on the Yale SOMAA Board of Directors and as an SOMAA YAA Delegate. Rob also chaired the SOM Class of 1983 25th reunion, volunteered as the SOM 1983 Class secretary, a Yale SOM student mentor, and a Yale SOM mock interviewer. In 2011, the Yale SOMAA awarded Rob one of the three inaugural Yale SOM Leadership Awards for Volunteer Service.
In July 2016, Greenly was elected to the YAA Board of Governors, where he co-piloted and then co-chaired the Careers, Life, and Yale Alumni to Alumni Committee. Rob also co-chaired the Graduate and Professional Schools Committee. In 2019 and again in 2020, Rob was elected as an executive officer of the YAA Board of Governors, where he is liaison to the Careers, Life and Yale Alumni to Alumni and Alumni to Students Committees. In June 2020, YaleBoston awarded Rob the Harvey N. Shycon '43 Alumni Award in recognition of outstanding service to the club.
