Camp Yale

Camp Yale

Camp Yale Emeritus is a summertime tradition that brings Yalies together wherever they are. It’s a time to make new friendships and celebrate the common bond between alumni. Gatherings are social in nature and are meant to be agenda-free.

Register your event now!

Register your Camp Yale Emeritus event now! The form is open and the time is now to reconnect with classmates and fellow alumni in a unique environment hosted by you! Parties are easy to host and can be held from July through the end of September.

How does it work?

  1. Pick a location, activity, and date for when your Camp Yale event will take place.
  2. Fill out a host form asking for the details of your event.
  3. The YAA will connect with you to verify the event, get any images, and set up a registration link.
  4. We will add your event to the YAA events calendar and to a BOLD (Bulldogs of the Last Decade) broadcast email when applicable.
  5. We will give you access to the registration list so you will know how many people to plan for.
  6.  If you register your event with at least two weeks' notice, we will send you a party box with Yale swag for your event.
  7.  BOLD alumni are eligible for reimbursement up to $100 per event. For more information, please see next section.

  • Eligibility: To be eligible for reimbursement, an activity must (a) be hosted by a recent grad or young alum, (b) be focused on recent grads and young alums, (c) be registered with the YAA as a Camp Yale Emeritus event, and (d) the host must submit the Request for Reimbursement Form along with at least one photo. Additional details below.
    • Activities do not have to be large – planning an event for a dozen or two is fine.
    • Like Feb Club Emeritus events, Camp Yale Emeritus events will be organized by individuals, groups of alumni, and Yale clubs and regional associations. A Yale club or regional association can help arrange more than one eligible Camp Yale Emeritus event or can help arrange several Camp Yale events, only some of which might be eligible. That is, a club could have a Camp Yale event geared toward young alumni and another geared to a different segment of its members (though only the events geared toward recent and BOLD alumni are eligible for funding).

  • Funding: The YAA will provide up to $100 for each BOLD event in reimbursement of expenses. Actual funding may be based on the number of attendees. (Some of the funding is being provided by alumni as part of the Camp Yale Emeritus effort.)
    • Reimbursement requires documenting expenses that follow standard YAA guidelines as to receipts, etc. plus submitting to us at Camp Yale Emeritus at least one photo showing folks at the gathering.
    • Alumni may directly purchase party supplies, food, and beverages from a store or restaurant for reimbursement. Legible photos of receipts are required.

  • Reimbursement Form: After an event, the host must fill out this form and submit within two weeks of the event, in order to take advantage of the grant reimbursement of up to $100.
