Jia Chen, PhD, ’00 is a Global Offering Leader at IBM Watson Health. She serves on the IBM Academy of Technology Leadership Team. She’s currently the Vice Chair of Yale Graduate School Alumni Association. She previously led technical strategy at IBM Watson Health Innovation, with a focus on data and AI. She held technical leadership positions for Innovation, Health Solutions for Smarter Cities, Solution Architect team at CHQ, Global Markets and IBM Watson. While she was with IBM Research, she was named as one of the top 35 technology innovators under the age of 35 worldwide by MIT’s Technology Review in 2005, the Best Researcher of the Year by Small Times magazine in 2006. She received her PhD in Physics from Yale in 2000

Yong Huo, MD, is Professor of Medicine at Peking University and Chief of Cardiology at Peking University First Hospital. He is the President of World Association of Chinese Cardiologist, President of Asian Society of Cardiology, and Dean of China Heart House. A leading cardiologist in China, Professor Huo’s research and leadership focus around cardiovascular disease prevention, quality improvement and population management. He led the efforts to establish the network and certification of Chest Pain Centers around China as well as the work to establish standardized specialty physician training programs and their certification. He has also developed the first national “China Cardiovascular Health Index”, and led the development of 28 Chinese national disease diagnosis and treatment standards and professional guidelines and consensus, as well as 2 international guidelines.

Gregory P. Licholai, MD ‘95, MBA is Chief Medical Information Officer, PRA Health Sciences. Dr. Licholai teaches at Yale School of Management and is Co-Director of the Center for Digital Health. He also co-teaches Innovating Health Care at Harvard Business School. He is Chief Medical and Information Officer at PRA Health Sciences, a leading pharmaceutical service, healthcare data and contract research provider. Previously, he was President of rare disease at Moderna Therapeutics; President and Chief Medical Officer at Castle Creek Pharmaceuticals and was partner at McKinsey & Co. where he ran the healthcare data service line. He was also a senior executive at Proteostasis, Amicus Therapeutics and Medtronic Neurological as well as venture investor for Domain Associates. He was co-founder of Immunome Therapeutics. Greg has degrees from Harvard Business School, Yale School of Medicine, Columbia University and Boston College. He writes about innovation in healthcare for Forbes.

Xiaoyan Huang, ’91, MD, MHCM, FACC is a cardiologist and Medical Director of General Cardiology at Providence Heart Institute, Portland, Oregon. She is the immediate-past President of Medical Staff at Providence Milwaukie Hospital. She is the Vice Chair of the Yale Alumni Association Board of Governors. Dr. Huang graduated from Yale College and Stanford Medical School and holds a Master’s degree in Health Care Management from the Harvard T. H. Chan School of Public Health. In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Huang’s research focus has been around specialty care and payment reform, health policy and economics. She has published on these topics in the New England Journal of Medicine, Circulation, Harvard Business Review, and New England Journal of Medicine Catalyst, etc.
