About the Speakers

Russell Ahrens ’96

Russell Ahrens ’96, Principal & Co-Founder at Themis Insight Russell Ahrens collects concepts and tools like a magpie decorating his nest with shiny baubles. After a Classical Civilizations degree from Yale, he worked at a talent agency, as an engineer at a helicopter company, a quantitative finance consultant for a biotech company, and a strategy, process, and data consultant for the federal government. Along the way, he added graduate degrees in Computer Science, Economics, and an MBA. He specializes in finding new uses for those old baubles and creating new things to solve old problems. Russell founded Themis Insight in 2013, a consultancy focused on strategy, data science, and process improvement and automation, with clients primarily in a niche of the US Department of Defense. He lives with his family in Glen Echo, MD outside of Washington, DC

Folake Fadayomi '18 MBA

Folake Fadayomi '18 MBA, Senior Manager at Deloitte Folake is an alum of Yale School of Management’s Executive MBA program. She is a leader in Deloitte’s Insurance Consulting practice where she collaborates with Insurance carriers to formulate business strategies and implement multi-year roadmaps and programs to transform core capabilities, including data and analytics. She resides in the District and enjoys hiking and exploring cultural sights

Daniel Yim ’18 MBA

Daniel Yim ’18 MBA, Director at Gartner Consulting Daniel Yim is a Director at Gartner Consulting, based out of Arlington, VA. He provides advisory services to clients in the public sector, where he focuses on helping government agencies navigate through the challenges of digital transformation and data interpretation. He also leads the Washington DC Chapter of Hyperledger, which is a consortium of technology projects that are developed within private blockchain networks. As a former U.S. Naval officer, Daniel served onboard nuclear-powered aircraft carriers in support of several major combat operations in the Middle East. And in his previous positions as a Management Consultant, Daniel worked for IBM, Deloitte, and Noblis. Daniel holds B.S. in Commerce from University of Virginia, and MBA from Yale University.
