Careers, Life, and Yale Thursday Show: Student Organizations at Yale College, Challenges and Opportunities

Raymond Jin is a first-year from Branford College. He is planning on majoring in Global Affairs with a certificate in Statistics & Data Science. Currently, he is taking Directed Studies, and is involved with Yale Undergraduate Diversified Investments, the Legal Aid Association, and is a Student Ambassador for the Yale Alumni Fund. Raymond also enjoys playing the violin and golf. He played golf with Rory Mcllroy at the 2021 Wells Fargo Championship Pro-Am at Quail Hollow Club.

Eleanor Ann Schoenbrun is a first-year in Benjamin Franklin College. She is a prospective Economics and Global Affairs major and is from El Paso, Texas. Eleanor is the founder of Pennies FUR Pets and Kans for Kids, where she has raised over $56,000 for homeless pets and $65,000 worth of food in her community. She serves on the Points of Light National Youth Advisory Council, a National Make A Difference Day winner, and is a grant recipient from Disney, Youth Service America, and Sodexo. At Yale, Eleanor is an active STAY member, BFCC first-year representative, Yale Feature Baton Twirler with the marching band, and a member of YAFSA and the Yale Women's Network.

Kenneth Yan is a junior in Silliman College studying History and Computer Science. Having joined STAY during his first semester at Yale, Kenneth is now in his third year of involvement with the organization. Outside of classes, he is president of the Dwight Hall and SEAS organization FIRST at Yale, a group for FIRST robotics competition alumni, mentors, and volunteers. Kenneth is also an employee at the Student Technology Collaborative, where he is a Student Technician (formerly known as Computing Assistants).

Alison Brody is a former litigation attorney and longtime civic educator in Portland, Oregon. She has served on the boards of various civil rights and higher education organizations at the state and national levels, including her past role as Vice Chair of the Yale Alumni Association Board of Governors. Since 1999, she has coached the Lincoln High School Constitution Team. Her students have won three national championships in the We the People competition. She also works with the Classroom Law Project to teach K–12 students about the criminal justice system. Alison received a BA in history from Yale College, a MSt in history from the University of Oxford, and a JD from the University of Washington School of Law.
