Just ahead of Sepsis Awareness Month, join the Yale Alumni Health Network (YAHN) to review what sepsis means from the perspectives of infectious disease and pulmonary/critical care physicians. Dr. Cindy Hou '96, infectious disease doctor, and Dr. Charles Dela Cruz '03 MD, '05 PhD, HS, Yale professor and critical care physician, will discuss how sepsis is defined, potentially prevented, and ultimately managed. Dr. Hou and Dr. Dela Cruz will also illustrate sepsis with a case study of a person with sepsis in an interactive discussion of managing the case. Dr. Jamie Wells ’96, YAHN chair, will moderate the discussion.
Dr. Hou is an Infection Control Officer and infectious disease doctor who specializes in sepsis at the Jefferson Health in New Jersey.
