Join Yale Alumni Health Network President Dr. Jamie Wells ’96 in a fireside chat with Emma Goldberg ’16, New York Times writer and author of “Life on the Line: Young Doctors Come of Age in a Pandemic,” coming out early June.
In March 2020, when New York City’s medical schools decided to accelerate their graduations so fourth-year students could move to the frontlines of the COVID-19 pandemic, Goldberg began having daily conversations with a group of six early graduates – the first generation to take the Hippocratic Oath via Zoom – who were unleashed into emergency rooms and intensive care units across the city. “Life On the Line” tells their stories, and the story of a city and healthcare system in crisis.
This program has been brought to the Yale community in partnership with the Yale Alumni Health Network and the YAA Shared Interest Groups.
