‘Exhibiting Forgiveness’ Film Screening and Conversation with Titus Kaphar '06 MFA

Join us for a screening of “Exhibiting Forgiveness” (2024) by Titus Kaphar ’06 MFA (Director and Founder of NXTHVN) and an insightful post-screening discussion between the director and Prof. Thomas Allen Harris. These acclaimed artists and filmmakers will explore the role of art and media in speaking truth to power, fostering community, and empowering future generations to shape their own creative practices.

“Exhibiting Forgiveness” is about a Black artist whose path to success is derailed by an unexpected visit from his estranged father, a recovering addict desperate to reconcile. Together, they struggle and learn that forgetting might be a greater challenge than forgiving.
