Escape rooms originated in 2007 in Japan and have have gained popularity around the world.  Escape New Haven was founded in 2015 under the leadership of Ethan Rodriguez-Torrent '13 and Max Sutter '11.

Max Sutter ’11

Max Sutter studied mechanical engineering at Yale (CC/HC '11), then spent several years designing biomedical devices. Max now spends his days designing puzzles and challenges to confine, confound, confuse and amuse.
 

Ethan Rodriguez-Torrent ’13

Ethan Rodriguez-Torrent ’13

Ethan Rodriguez-Torrent graduated from Yale (DC '13) with a BA/MA in East Asian Studies. Ethan has studied in China, worked in Zambia, bicycle-camped from coast to coast of the USA, and engaged in escape artistry everywhere from Tennessee to Taiwan.
