YBAA Juneteenth Discussion

We are delighted to invite you to a special Juneteenth event, "Why does the Black-White Wealth Gap Persists?"  This event will be hosted by the Yale Black Alumni Association, YaleWomen and the Yale Alumni Association.

This public in-person event will take place at The Theater Center in Times Square. Join us for a thought-provoking discussion on the factors contributing to the Black-White wealth gap and what can be done to address it. Hear from experts and engage in meaningful conversations with fellow attendees. Louise Story '03, '06 MBA and Ebony Reed, who teach about about racial wealth gaps at The Yale School of Management will discuss their new book "Fifteen Cents on the Dollar: How Americans Made the Black-White Wealth Gap."

The event will feature a discussion of racial wealth gap data across all races, led by Story and Reed, and then a panel with notable Yale alumni working in this space.

Each ticket includes a copy of the "Fifteen Cents" book, purchased from the local Black-owned bookstore Cafe con Libros
