Yale Blue Green Webinar

Join us for this virtual program with two experts, Professor Narasimha Rao and Dawn Lippert ’06, ’07 MEM, who will discuss and address renewable energy from the perspectives of both policy—the relationship between energy transitions and human well-being, including renewable energy expansion, energy access and development in the international context—and the practical imperative of sourcing financial support for innovative solutions. Moderating the session is Chip Spear ’74, board co-chair of Yale Blue Green.

Narasimha Rao

Narasimha Rao is an Associate Professor of Energy Systems at the Yale School of the Environment, where he studies global energy transitions, the role of technology adoption in households, and their impacts on well-being and inequality. Rao is a contributing author to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change's Sixth Assessment report on demand-side mitigation.

Dawn Lippert '06, '07 MEM

Dawn Lippert is Founder and CEO of Elemental Excelerator, a nonprofit impact organization that funds startups that solve climate challenges across energy, water, agriculture, transportation, and beyond-Elemental has invested in more than 150 startups that have gone on to raise over $7 billion in follow-on funding. Previously, Lippert worked on energy and environmental projects in communities around the world, including Africa, India, and Latin America.
