Robots that Teach
Just as a good coach or teacher offers motivation and guidance, robots are now able to provide emotional, cognitive and social support to encourage development, learning or therapy for an individual. In this talk, Brian — one of the university’s most popular teachers — will update us on major research being conducted in this area, both at Yale and elsewhere, and describe some of his lab’s recent results in building robots that can teach social skills to children with autism spectrum disorder.
