This is the same site at which we have had previous Yale Day of Service programs! We do weeding, landscaping work, and some general clean-up at the Sombrero Marsh Environmental Education Center run by the nonprofit Thorne Nature Experience, Dr. Oakleigh Oak Thorne, II (Yale 1951,  1953), Founder. Oak is a Master Bird Bander, so there will be a chance to see wild birds close-up.

The address is 1466 N. 63rd St. in Boulder. Go to 63rd and Arapahoe and turn SOUTH (ignoring the No Outlet signs) and follow that street all the way to the Thorne office. Plenty of parking.

Bring the family, clothes for the weather including masks and work gloves, sunscreen, water, and a sack lunch.

The Jump bus will take you to 63rd and Arapahoe if you don’t drive. Call Oak’s cellphone 720-224-8976 if any questions.
