Hebrew Burial & Free Loan Association of New Haven (HBFLANH) and Yale Chabad are teaming up to clean-up our cemeteries for the Yale Day of Service on Sunday, May 7, from 3-6 pm.

We will be raising sunken stones, cleaning up debris, cleaning stones, and helping to ensure that the people buried here are treated with respect. There will be light tasks, as well as ones for getting dirty.

It might be a little warm, so please dress appropriately. Water will be provided. Participants are encouraged to bring reusable water containers, as well as their own snack, if desired.

Hebrew Burial & Free Loan Association of New Haven provides interest free loans, and free burial plots to needy Jews in the greater New Haven Area, maintaining two Jewish Cemeteries in East Haven with over 900 graves.

Please meet us at Hebrew Burial & Free Loan Association cemetery, located at 1 Brockett Pl, East Haven. This is a Yale Sustainability Green Certified Event - ask us about how to lessen the environmental impact of our activities, or if you are interested in carpooling.
