Day of service in Manila’s second largest slum, San Andres Bukid, with BANTU Philippines – a NGO that uses the art of Capoeira Angola to empower vulnerable children & young people by helping them develop important behavioral and social skills as well as teaching them critical thinking.
Casa BANTU is our new community center, where we’re expanding our services to the community, including regular school tutoring and special programs, including financial literacy, women’s rights, and more.
What to bring:
- Please wear comfortable clothes and shoes – you will be moving!
- Bring your own water bottle. There will be clean drinking water and restrooms at the community center.
- If you have extra books (Tagalog or English) or games – you’re welcome to donate to the center. We have young kids as well as older youth, so all levels are welcome.
