Submitting an Article to the Alumni Website

Alumni, staff, and students are encouraged to submit articles of varying lengths and topics to the Yale Alumni website. These can range from a “Getting to Know You,” a recap of an alumni event or program, an editorial story on an exciting alumni initiative, or a short announcement about an upcoming deadline (ex., nominations for an award or registration for an event).

Things to Keep in Mind When Submitting an Article:

  • Before submitting an article, please ensure that all quotes are approved by the person quoted. It can be helpful to share the portion of the article where they are quoted with the person so they can see the quote in context.
  • Check titles and class years to ensure that all information submitted is correct.
  • When writing your article, please keep in mind that shorter articles perform better and will receive more readership and clicks. People don’t have much time and want to get to the point!
