On January 11 and 12, the Yale Club of Brazil proudly gathered around 120 visitors at the first "Yale Cup Brazil" in partnership with Alumni from Columbia University and INSEAD Business School. The event was a co-ed soccer cup with three games organized at the official Soccer Stadium of Botafogo, a leading soccer club in Brazil (the current champion of Brazil and the Americas).  Its organization leveraged the contribution of SOM alumni at the club's C-level and sponsorship from Multimarcas and Gruppi, Feel Good Tea and Pirajuba Whey protein, Lobo de Rizzo and David Teixeira de Azevedo law firms, and the Yale SOM Alumni Office. Insead's Salamander was the champion, beating Yale 3-2 in the last match.

"It was an incredible way to reconnect with old friends and make new ones - not only from our alma mater but also from other business schools,” shared Francisco Molnar ’14 MAM. “I can’t think of a better way to bring our alumni together than playing soccer in a professional stadium. Well done, Bulldogs!"

Following the Cup's success, the group plans to invite more universities next year and host an even bigger event, so look for more information!
