Biography
Dr. Ali Mohamadi is Vice President, Medical Affairs North America at Rhythm Pharmaceuticals, where he leads a team that engages the medical community to gather and share scientific insights that support patient care. His clinical background is in pediatric endocrinology, with a focus on treatment of growth disorders, neuroendocrine diseases and diabetes.
At Yale, Mohamadi was a sportswriter and section editor for the Yale Daily News, volunteered at Yale-New Haven Hospital, and performed bench research in the Department of Neuroscience. After graduating with a BS degree in Biology, he attended medical school at George Washington University before completing his pediatric residency at Mount Sinai School of Medicine and pediatric endocrinology fellowship at Johns Hopkins. He worked at the FDA, BioMarin Pharmaceutical and Vertex Pharmaceuticals before joining Rhythm in March 2025.
As a Yale volunteer, Mohamadi has served as a Yale College Class of 1998 secretary and class agent. Under his leadership the class launched a series of virtual events during the COVID-19 pandemic that was honored with a YAA Board of Governors Excellence Award in 2021. He has volunteered with the Alumni Schools Committee as an interviewer for Yale College applicants in Montgomery County, Maryland, where he currently resides with his wife and four children.
