Biography

Jennifer Ebisemiju Madar is an ex-officio member of the YAA Board of Governors in her capacity as the board's immediate past chair. She served as a board member (2018–2021), executive officer (2021–2022) and vice chair (2022–2024) before becoming chair (2024–2026).

Madar is also a past chair of YaleWomen and past president of YaleBoston, and for many years was a member of the Boston-area Alumni Schools Committee. Her goal throughout her years of service to the university has been to foster a welcoming, inclusive atmosphere for all alums — undergraduate, graduate and professional alike.

Madar has primarily worked in communications since she graduated from Yale with a B.A. in History in 1988. She has held management positions at several Boston and New York advertising agencies and director positions at several Boston nonprofits, in addition to consulting on a wide range of projects over the years. Her communications background has given her an openness to different perspectives, as well as a strong commitment to consensus-building and outreach.
