Biography
As a child from humble beginnings, Lauren Harris never dreamed of the possibility of studying at Yale — the most meaningful and enriching experience of her life. In her student years she was a Big Sib mentor an active community-service leader, serving on several student-run boards in addition to her fundraising work for Dwight Hall at Yale. She received the Bernard Osher Scholarship in recognition for her academic achievements, and was awarded Ezra Stiles College's Rita Lipson Cup for intellectual growth, personal maturity and active consideration for others.
Since she was first elected to the board of the Yale Club of Washington, DC in 2018, she has held a number of roles. As vice president for community service she ran the Yale Summer Fellowship program and Yale Day of Service, and oversaw the club's community-service outreach. As vice president for programming she developed over 60 virtual programs to help build the alumni community, including support of performing artists in the Yale alumni community who were financially hard-hit during the pandemic. And as vice president, she established protocols for development efforts to support the club's many initiatives.
Harris served as a YAA Delegate from 2019 to 2021 and currently serves as the club’s president, leading efforts to support Yale alumni through community-service initiatives and embracing a commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion. Her professional responsibilities include program management of 36+ federal agencies for Fiserv, a global financial technology leader.
