Biography
Matthew DiVenere is an entrepreneur, mentor, nonprofit board leader, and founder and managing director of a boutique merchant bank that provides services in corporate finance, M&A, strategic advising, and private placement of securities for early-stage and growth-oriented enterprises. His work has included roles with Bain & Company and Deutsche Bank in London and New York. A native of Connecticut with dual U.S. and Italian citizenship, he holds a BA in Economics from Yale, where he was a varsity letter recipient in heavyweight crew. He was both a first-gen and low-income student.
DiVenere views his Yale experience as life-changing. He has been a board member of the Yale Club of Georgia (YCOG) for the past decade and served as its president for six of those years. He has been a YAA delegate for both the YCOG and the Class of 1987, and has chaired the Board of Governors Nominating Committee. He is currently on the board of trustees for St. Thomas More (STM), the Catholic Chapel and Center at Yale, and is active on a task force dedicated to improving the student and alumni databases, STM communication and educational programming.
DiVenere holds an MBA in Finance, Entrepreneurial Management and Real Estate from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He resides in Atlanta with his wife Amelia and teenage son Judson. He is proud to have served as co-host of the Feb Club Emeritus party in Atlanta for its entire 16-year run to date.
