Biography
Michael McClammy is a senior executive at MBI, Inc., a leading international consumer products company based in Norwalk, Connecticut. Michael joined MBI in 1993 as a member of its Product Management team responsible for overseeing product development, production, and marketing for several of its key businesses. He has spent his entire 30-year career at MBI, being named Managing Director in March 2018. He is a founding member of the company’s DEI Council, through which he helps guide initiatives to attract employees and customers that better reflect the community.
Michael is a passionate supporter of schools and education, evidenced by his more than 15 years of service as a trustee of two Connecticut schools. Michael was a Trustee of Bridges School, an early childhood education program in Greenwich, Connecticut, for more than ten years and served as Chairman of the Board from 2013-2019. He helped to finalize the school’s transition to its permanent home after the purchase and complete renovation of a historic town building to ensure the long-term health and strength of the school.
In 2018, Michael joined the Board of Trustees of the St. Martin de Porres Academy (SMPA) in New Haven, Connecticut, and since 2022 he has served as Chairman of its Governance Committee. SMPA is a faith-based school that provides tuition-free, extended day education for underserved students from low-income families in the New Haven area. It makes a 12-year commitment to each student to ensure a promising start in life and the opportunity to reach their full academic potential.
Michael graduated from Yale University in 1993 with a BA in Political Science. He has served as the Treasurer of his Class since 2015 and as an active member of the Yale Alumni Association of Greenwich, including as a member of the Board of Directors for five years.
He resides in Greenwich with his wife and two children.
