Biography
Wendy Maldonado D'Amico is an independent consultant who provides marketing, communications, event planning and community building services to nonprofit organizations. She previously worked on 50WomenAtYale150, which commemorated the dual milestones of coeducation at the university. After receiving her BA in English Literature from Yale, she served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Belize. She later completed a Master's in Public Administration from the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University, and an MBA at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She went on to work at Booz Allen Hamilton and SAP.
Maldonado D'Amico has served Yale continuously since graduation, starting as a volunteer for the Yale Alumni Fund and then serving on the Reunion Gift Committee for her class's 10th and 15th reunions. During her time as a council member of the Yale Club of Philadelphia, she revitalized young alumni programming. She served as a YAA At-Large Delegate (2009–2012), co-chaired her 20th reunion, and has interviewed applicants through the Alumni Schools Committee for many years.
Maldonado D'Amico was elected to the YAA Board of Governors in 2018 after completing a five-year term as Secretary of the Yale Class of 1993. She also serves as director of Accelerate Yale and Yale Angels. She is the co-founder of Yale Food + Drink and founder of the Yale Museums, Arts, and Culture closed alumni Facebook groups.
