YAA At-Large Delegate Self-Nomination

Self nominations for the at-large delegate term beginning July 1, 2026 are now open. If you're interested, please review the eligibility requirements and application questions and submit your nomination by February 9, 2026, 11:59pm ET.

Thank you for your interest in serving as an At-Large delegate to the YAA Assembly. To submit your application, please review the information below and then complete your application online. The submission deadline is February 9, 2026.

At‑large delegates attend Assembly and Convocation in New Haven each year for a three-year term, participate in informational and leadership development sessions, bring the thoughts, concerns, and questions of alumni to those conversations, and then share back insights and ideas with the broader alumni community through a variety of communication avenues.

The YAA recognizes the delegate role as a mutual investment of time and resources in the development of volunteer alumni leaders.

Role Expectations

  • At-Large delegates join other YAA delegates and volunteer leaders in coming to New Haven each fall to attend the Assembly and Convocation. This event is the annual campus gathering of alumni leaders that occurs two days before the final home football game in November.

  • At-Large delegates are charged with bringing thoughts, concerns and questions they may have, as well as those of other alumni they may know, to the Assembly and raising those thoughts at the appropriate sessions.

  • At-Large delegates act as information ambassadors to the alumni body by sharing knowledge and information learned through delegate sessions to their alumni networks.
  • Candidates will be considered to serve a term from July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2029.

  • Candidates must hold a degree from Yale, and not have served as a full-term delegate for any group in the three years prior to appointment.

  • For more information about Assembly and Convocation, and the at-large role, visit the Assembly and Convocation Help Center.
