Careers, Life and Yale
Careers, Life and Yale (CLY) programs put Yale students in contact with alumni who offer students insights, concrete advice, mentoring, and networking opportunities. At CLY gatherings, alums help Yalies explore careers not regularly covered by on-campus recruiters. CLY events also cover practical life-skills (e.g., how to deal with money, “source” a job, write a successful cover letter, network, manage time, speak in public, and succeed in an interview). In addition, CLY programs also go beyond career/life-skills by offering alumni-led discussions of leadership techniques, team building, and self-awareness practices designed to help students develop greater self-awareness of their strengths and passions.
